Home Alone Program

Designed by the Canadian Safety Council, this program helps prepare 9 – 11 year olds for being home alone during short periods of time.  Participants will learn basic first aid and safety procedures, as well as to recognize hazards, and when and how to use 911.  Offered in partnership with St. John Ambulance.

Is your desktop a mess? Running low on storage on your computer? Learn how to organize files and folders to quickly find your photos, documents, and music when you need them. Technology Training Series: Microsoft Word and Excel Basics

Learn how to create documents and spreadsheets with Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic commands, formulas, and use of templates will be covered to create resumes, cover letters, budget sheets, or invoices. Basic keyboarding and mouse/touchpad skills required. Bring your own tech pre-loaded with word-processing and spreadsheet software. Pre-register.  Limited Space.

Nutrition Series: Unlock the Power of Food!

March is nutrition month, and this year’s theme is “Unlock the Power of Food”. In this workshop, food is our superhero and we’re going to discover its super powers! We’ll talk about trendy superfoods, whether the hype around them is real or not, and other nutrition heavy hitters like fiber, antioxidants, protein, and more.
