Home Alone Program

Designed by the Canadian Safety Council, this program helps prepare 9-11 year olds for being home alone during short periods of time.  Participants will learn basic first aid and safety procedures, as well to recognize hazards, and when and how to use 911.  Offered in partnership with St. John Ambulance.

Paws for Stories - Fall 2019

Paws 4 Stories is a terrific opportunity for beginning and struggling readers who like dogs.  It’s an exciting chance to read aloud to a dog and make a friend. You may register for up to two half-hour sessions of reading 1-to-1 with a trained therapy dog and its owner (generously trained and provided by the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program). 

Dates: Mondays September 16-November 4 (no session October 14, Thanksgiving), 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Aurora Public Library will be leading a Girls Who Code club!

Girls Who Code clubs are meant for girls to join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models, and use Computer Science to change the world. Paws for Stories - Fall 2019

Paws 4 Stories is a terrific opportunity for beginning and struggling readers who like dogs.  It’s an exciting chance to read aloud to a dog and make a friend. You may register for up to two half-hour sessions of reading 1-to-1 with a trained therapy dog and its owner (generously trained and provided by the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program).
