  • Exploring Art: Aboriginal Paintings
    Tuesday, February 28, 2012 - 7:00pm - 8:00pm
    In this exciting art program, children will learn how to paint a traditional dot picture in the style of the aboriginal Australians.  Here, we will be using cotton swabs to produce lively dot patterns in earthy warm colours - typical of Aboriginal art.

  • Play it Safe with Dogs!

    We all know that dogs are adorable and cute. But, it's important to learn how to play it safe with dogs! St. John Ambulance and Aurora Public Library are pleased to host Play it Safe With Dogs. In this interactive workshop led by SJA volunteers, children and their parents will learn techniques on how to develop a safe relationship with a dog. Children will have the opportunity to practice their new skills on a REAL St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog!
    Aurora Public Library will provide some exciting materials for participants to take home.

  • Storydrawing: Winter Frolics
    Saturday, February 25, 2012 - 10:30am - 12:00pm
    Do you like to draw and tell stories too?  Come and draw your favourite snowman and create a wintery story celebrating snowy fun?  Enjoy hands-on art exercises and draw your own snow scene using a wax resist and paint technique.  This workshop is ideal for the young story teller who is just learning to write.
