Ontario Heritage Week: February 20-26, 2012.  Celebrate this year's theme, 'Defending a Nation', commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812.  Join Greg Grimshaw of the Upper Canada Volunteer Regiments Organization for an interactive talk about the schooner H.M.S. Nancy, a British supply ship sunk by American forces in the Nottawasaga River during the War of 1812.  Learn how H.M.S. Nancy became Nancy Island near Wasaga Beach.  See period uniforms and military artifacts. Free.  Pre-register at the Adult Information Desk.
